Econ ministry expects Russia’s annual inflation at 7.5–7.6% Mar
MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s annual inflation will amount to 7.5–7.6% in March and will remain in the same range in April, a representative of the Economic Development Ministry told PRIME on Friday.
“In March, annual inflation will stand at 7.5–7.6%. In April, (it will stay) approximately in the same range,” the person said.
Annual inflation slowed down to 8.1% in February from 9.8% in January.
“Weekly inflation dynamics have remained at 0.1–0.2% so far,” the person also said.
The Federal State Statistics Service said earlier that inflation amounted to 0.2% from March 1 through Wednesday and reached 1.8% from January 1. Inflation stood at 0.6% in February against 1% in January.
The ministry’s current forecast for inflation in 2016 stands at 6.4% and the authority plans to adjust it in April.
